Nathan Allen is a results-oriented environmentalist and intrapreneur. Allen leverages his background in organizing, clean-tech and commercialization to drive innovation in institutional systems. Now dedicated to accelerating the adoption of water technology as the Executive Director of WaterStart, Allen has grown this public-private-partnership to include leading water agencies and large consumers that serve more than 10M people internationally. Allen has also served on the U.S. Department of Commerce Environmental Trade Advisory Committee and regularly speaks internationally on water innovation and economics. Previously, Allen founded and managed the Model City R+D program for the University of Arizona and served as the sustainability coordinator for Biosphere 2 following time with a solar power start-up. He resides in Reno, NV where his wife and three kids enjoy life in the Eastern Sierra.
