Scaling Operations & Addressing Water Crises
Through our raise on Netcapital, we plan to scale operations and help companies that are addressing our water crises resulting from climate change, aging infrastructure, limited public funds, population growth, and pollution.
With your help, we can create a community of change. We believe the world’s water may depend on it.
The ethos of the WaterWorks community is to help fix water problems that never get solved, with approaches that might have never been tried. If technology and new solutions can revolutionize how water can be protected and used, then we believe that a new way to finance and invest in those opportunities needs to be built.
We seek to build an ever-expanding community of innovators and investors that can help drive potential water solutions at scale by democratizing both water investment opportunities for the investor and access to capital for the potential solution provider.
WaterWorks will be a place for people to learn about water challenges and become partners on potential water solutions by investing.
We’re building a community that believes:
- Delivering clean water and sanitation to all people is attainable.
- Healthy waters from stream to sea are achievable.
- Potential solutions exist which can help our oceans, watersheds and communities.
- Investors can drive change.
- Water problems are local and can be solved locally.
WaterWorks is currently the only online investing platform and funding portal dedicated exclusively to water-related innovations and technologies.
WaterWorks has established partnerships with key water organizations across the country which we hope may serve as a potential pipeline for offerings on our portal.
We believe financing for water technology and projects is in need of extensive innovation and disruption. Start-ups and innovative projects are answering the call to help solve our water crises, and we believe the time is now to invest in and support them.
With Regulation Crowdfunding (aka Reg CF), investors can support companies and initiatives they are passionate about. Equity Crowdfunding is similar to traditional crowdfunding, but instead of pledging a specific amount and receiving a product in return, you receive a security in the company.
Recent updates to the JOBS Act enables companies like WaterWorks to use Reg CF to raise up to $5 million and allow both accredited and non-accredited investors over 18 years of age to participate.
Investors can drive change and innovation, and we believe the internet’s disruptive potential could lead to a revolution in the way capital is raised and deployed through online investing.
We hope and expect online investing will continue to grow, and we see value in serving and becoming experts in one important niche market - water. We plan to create a collaborative platform with an investor base that comes together to present problems, create potential solutions, and finance operations.
Our goal through this phase of funding on Netcapital is to scale our operations to bring people, partnerships, technology, and investment financing together to help address water problems.
With WaterWorks investors can directly invest in companies working to achieve sustainable water solutions. We can’t wait…. not for government spending, banks, or philanthropy. Water can’t wait. Join our community of change and support the WaterWorks mission on Netcapital today.
